Smart city touring with Smart Destinations’ Summer Fun and Go Select

This summer, our family really got around. We flew to New York City and toured cities and vacation hot spots along the Eastern Seaboard, then returned home to the west coast in time to visit Southern California theme parks and beaches. In between, we explored cities close to our hometown, such as Portland and San Francisco.

I don’t have to tell you that when city touring with kids, the cost can really add up fast, which is why I’m so glad I was introduced to Smart Destinations. A provider of sightseeing packages in major cities, purchasing your attraction tickets through Smart Destinations ahead of time saves you up to 55% off booth prices. I really love the many ticket package options available at Smart Destinations: we used their customizable Go Select passes in both New York City and Boston.

Before trying these types of discounts out, you never know exactly how they’re going to work, which is why I was glad to find the Go Select tickets were easy to redeem. We had no problems in any of our multiple attractions: every employee knew exactly what Smart Destinations was and how to scan the cards. Since you’re able to print an e-ticket per family member, Go Select users can skip most admission lines in addition to saving money on the overall cost of the tickets. Best of all, however, is that families can customize their ticket packages: you only choose (and pay for) what you’re actually planning to see.

The Summer Family FunPass is structured a little differently, in that it comes with four top tourist attractions pre-selected per city (with currently seven cities to choose from). We opted for the Southern California pass, which granted us admission into Universal Studios Hollywood, Knott’s Berry Farm, Legoland, and the San Diego Zoo, all for a flat 20% savings. If you have a week or more in Southern California in which to redeem your tickets like we had, and plan to visit these four theme parks, this is the deal for you!

As a native Southern Californian and mother of three, I can say with confidence that I’ve logged significant hours in SoCal theme parks. What I like about the Southern California Summer FunPass is that it’s a true sampling of family-friendly theme parks, and includes only those possible to tackle in a day (each), ensuring you might actually use all your admission passes on one vacation. And if four theme parks is too many for your schedule, opt for the original Go Select pass instead!

Go Card USA: Unlimited Admission to Top Attractions, Tours, Museums in America’s Top Destinations; 1 Low Price!

As I disclose whenever applicable, Smart Destinations provided us with Go Select and Family FunPasses for the purpose of review. This compensation came with no expectation of a positive endorsement.
