About Amy Whitley

Amy WhitleyAmy Whitley is a freelance travel writer, copy editor, and aspiring novelist. Amy holds a B.A. in Creative Writing from Whitworth University, and has years of experience in both writing and editing. Amy worked as a publications editor for both not-for-profits and literary journals before launching a career as a freelance travel writer. She now enjoys bylines in both print and online publications, and participates in national travel industry campaigns on a wide variety of family travel subjects.

As an editor, Amy works as founding editor of Pit Stops for Kids, as well as content editor of family travel mega-site Trekaroo. Pit Stops for Kids has been awarded numerous ‘top 25’ and travel website awards, the Babble Top 10 award for travel, and is a freelance columnist and writer at print magazines across the Northwest.
